Will you RENEW your season ticket ?

We are fans, so we support the team, end of.

I can support my team from Gloucestershire and will be a fan forever. Surely in this case that's not the question.
I will probably chose to be a less regular customer and look for a value/cost balance that suits me better.
My point of view, just sayin...

I'M NOT GOING BECAUSE OF SUB STANDARD ENTERTAINMENT ,BORING AMBIENCE OF THE AMEX AND THE FACT THAT THE PEOPLE I WAS PAYING TO WATCH ARE GETTING EXTORTIONATE WAGES FOR WHAT THEY DO IMHO.

Having not renewed for this season i'm not sure when i would buy a season ticket,having watched Burgess Hill 15 times this season and also following the fa cup through from the extra preliminary to the 5th round so far,looking at the costs it will be less than our two s/t in the esu.Thats including travel and overnight accommodation when required.Although always a Brighton fan this season has been my best footie experience since the 76/77 season and has helped me fall back in love with football. I'm sure the amex season ticket will be needed again but not just yet!

I was talking to a fella the other night about your FA cup adventure Rev. It has been decided that we may well attempt it next year.

This has however become a factor in Season Ticket purchase.

It's a no from me! A number of factors - cost, can't make mid week games and had a little dispute with the club last year where i wasn't happy with the outcome. So no ST for me nor my son!

I'm likely to watch my local football club play in County League 2.

This has however become a factor in Season Ticket purchase.

I've had a great run the most expensive ticket was £16 at dartford! The £15 ticket for Bradford v Sunderland was paid for by the lads who sorted the ticket for me and they refused to take the money or let me buy a drink! Beating Sunderland was out of this world you know what i feel about poyet. At the Chelsea game i had a Bradford fan prepared to give me his ticket outside the bridge so i wouldn't stop my run.The overnighter for Bradford v millwall was the most expensive part of the journey so far. Had a great time watching the hillians for 4 rounds and now Bradford for 5 games. Have done this on my own as the chances are the more who do it together the more lightly things get in the way. I was lucky millwall bradford was my sons 18th so got back in time. Also had a knee op 10 days before sunderland fixture but managed the trip. Now sweating on the date of the 6th round as we have an important social to attend on the saturday Its been a great journey so far

64% of what must be considered the hard core are intending to renew? I wonder what percentage of those who bought a season ticket expecting to be entertained but are not really hardened Albion fans will renew. It won't even be close to 60% imo

The club SHOULD be very concerned about renewals, whether they are or not remains to be seen.

So far in the last 6 weeks Tony Bloom has accepted the resignation of his manager and recruited a new manager best known for taking a Champ club to the Prem League. He's sacked his Director of Football Operations , presumably, because he's unhappy with the 10 signings during the summer and the poor results this season. The club's accounts annual financial statement, published last month and addressed to the whole board (Barber, Bloom) by the clubs financial director said in black and white.. "Principal Risk
“the principal risk is the risk of relegation and the adverse affect it would have on revenue streams and the ability to retain and recruit talented staff” via PDF here...

I doubt the club, the board, the players think of little else on a day to day basis. And the idea that the board aren't "concerned" about the renewal number, the risk of relegation and the importance of staying up beggars belief.

No, you can argue that they are making the wrong decisions in order to rectify that (Hughton ?, signing Leon Best/Halford, Kayal, picking the wrong team, ticket prices etc etc) but unaware or not concerned ? Really ?

Life, work, disaffection with the Albion and the game as a whole has all played it's part. After 30 years of living my life around the days I make available for getting to the Albion, it is time to live my life a bit differently.

I know we need new fans, but when people like gritty are chucking it in, the traditional fan base becomes that much more diluted. This is a very sad post indeed

It's not that I'll never go, but signing up in March 2015, that I need to keep 23 as yet unspecified dates clear, running up to May 2016, is just not realistic anymore. Too much work, work trips, family trips, birthdays, holidays and just general "knackered from my week" to be making the trip as often as I have been.

Some may see this as a reaction to a poor season, but I've been round here long enough that by comparison to some this is a ruddy BRILLIANT season! I don't feel the same connection to the club that I used to, and football in general tends to hack me off more and more as the years go by. I may spend more time at my "local" club (these days), enjoying the thud and blunder of Conference South, or I may find myself coming down to the Amex so much I should have renewed .... but I doubt it.

We all have a natural bond and its good common ground so for me the ticket more than pays for itself, this was not my motivation for going but its a good byproduct . There are 6 of us who go and 2 are definitely not renewing as they aren't the hard core and only started watching when we got to the Amex.

I love the Albion but feel the goodwill built up over the years has been chipped away, the difference between the Amex and Withdean is that you knew Withdean was going to be bad and if you got a good game that was a bonus. At the Amex its all spin with very little end product. Yeah its a nice ground, Yeah there is an atmosphere of sorts ( am I allowed to say that I think the Northstand is hopeless and humorless and often get drowned out by away fans) but its overpriced and therefore challenges loyalty, look at some of the German clubs.

On a plus note I also love seeing local kids wearing the strip when they are out and about I hope it continues but if the club keep serving KFC at Carluccios prices then I feel that will dwindle.

fair comment from someone who's seen football change over the years , those fans coming into the game are being hoodwinked into thinking it's the dogs bollocks when in reality it's far from it,

My problem with that is that they are obviously saying they are concerned, but that just did not translate into enough player recruitment in the Jan window. It just didn't. It translated into a window in which we lost more players than we gained. Unbelievable when we are in the precarious position we are in, and the board are oh so concerned. In fact, I find it astounding, complacent, and just taking far too much risk.

Sure and then we get told how we've done good business in the January window, it beggars belief for me that the club think we are so fecking gullible.

Admitting that relegation is a risk is a million miles away from saying " we got it wrong". I'd just like to see a little humility for the feck up that this season has been, it's not a time to be bullish...imo.

Me too, but it seems some are taken in.

The club needed to act decisively in Jan, and splash the cash (actions speak louder than words, even those in published accounts, sorry CJ).

Instead we got 1 new perm signing, 1 new loan, and 1 're-loan'. 4 loans ended, Colunga (top-scoring forward at the time) was inexplicably loaned out, and Toko was shown the door. Oh, and yet more PR BS.
