If your income stream drops away then you replace it with something else or cut some expenditure, jobs etc
No point in any hand-wringing, the largesse inheritance from Brown and Poyet seems to have been mostly sorted or will be fully depreciated by June so it'll have to be reduced football/playing budgets next season if the Board's equation doesn't balance. Obvious to most I'd have thought.

That is the obvious answer but according to those at the NWSS Meeting PB doeesnt appear to be accepting there will be a huge drop in ST sales.
I can only wonder at the statement he will trot out if he's wrong.
My thinking it will go Gold even before a word has been uttered

Why dont you juist feck orf matey,....... you are so far up your own 'superfan' aarrsehole........... there isnt a single supporter who wants to see the club fail, but there are plenty that are very very disappointed with the last 2 seasons, just deal with it.

I sent this thread link to Supporter Services,.... I was promised by Susan something or another that this has been escalated and forwarded on to the manager of the department, that is the first time they have seen tangible evidence that they can work with, but that they were aware that numbers may be down for the coming year.

They are obviously aware that a number will not renew it may just be the numbers that surprise them. I cannot think of a scenario when I wouldnt renew but I am a superfan

I dont understand why anyone would decide whether or not to buy a season ticket based on subsidised travel, most supporters live within a reasonable distance so it wont cost a life changing amount of money anyway, those that live further away only save a minimal amount as the subsidy only coversa small part of the journey and many, like myself, have to travel a few miles to get within the subsidised area anyway. I accept that its a matter of choice but other than those that wouldn't be able to afford the extra saying that losing the subsidy is the reason you wont renew is a cop out, why not just be honest and say we've been crap this season and I can't be bothered

£6.80 for a return to Burgess Hill to Falmer, so that's £156,40 per season (23 home games - NOT including any home games such as cup games and pre season friendly's) plus until 6:30pm I won't know what will happen to the season ticket prices

This is catastrophic for the club. If 15% do not renew an half of the 21% undecided that will be a 25% haemorrhage of season tickets so from 21000 down to around 16000. I think this will be the level next season but about 12000 if in div 1. A drop from 23000 to 16000 in 2 seasons is something the club will have to look at very seriously
Maybe not if you go on your own, but if there is you and a couple of kids it mounts up. At the end of the day we are paying this to be entertained, if you can be entertained to the same level by doing something else that's cheaper then you have to consider what you want to be doing more.
For me at the moment it's either watching the Albion or a week abroad with the kids, or merlin passes for a year to get into Thorpe Park and stuff. Much more on the price and it no longer becomes viable, not because we cannot afford it, but we are not prepared to keep sacrificing others things.

From the meeting reports I've read It seems that Paul Barber said that he doesn't agree that the drop will be as much as 20%. Whether the Board actually believe that is another matter but it's naïve to think any BHA executive is going to admit to it at a public forum. Just imagine the media headlines if he had?
The club will have budget projections for 2015/16 in place now based on which division we'll be in, financial support from the Board/TB, ST sales, sponsorship, merchandise, catering income etc etc.
These will be refined as actual data become available then confirmed at the end of the season (when we know if we're in for FFP or player salary cap) followed by publication of the player retained list. It happens like this every season and that becomes the financial budget from 1st July, not withstanding your manager throwing feigned hissy fits about the surprise of it all, getting themselves fired or just walking away.
El Pres recently produced an algorithm showing that a 3,000 drop in STHs results (I think) in a £1.25M loss in income and if we do get relegated then around £4M of FL support goes too.
Frankly, I don't get all the handwringing about ST renewals; each will make a decision to support or not next season based on their individual circumstances, the financial implications for the club are clear so what's still to fret about?
There's a game and a team to support on Tuesday evening irrespective of whether you're a chairman, fan, supporter, sponsor, customer, the Bradford "One" or a Nazi formerly known as Tinkerbell.
