Hate Scotland they should re build the wall-no seriously if they want nothing to do with England stuff em-but i will always hope they do well in the football-except if they play us.

I agree totally with that, but say for example Albion have a great season, are defensively solid, and Greer gets a call up too, then there's 2 Albion players in the Scotland team! We'd HAVE to support them then surely?! (even if it IS through gritted teeth! )

That is a very good post and I can't understand why people on here would support any other viewpoint.

There is a huge number of Scots in England and indeed in Sussex a considerable number of whom are on this board and who support the Albion (which is what the board is all about). Show me one who is anti England and show me one who would wish that England would lose to Outer Wherever. That is bollocks!

Anyone on here, English, Scottish or Welsh will always support their country of birth in the event that they were playing against another of the countries of the UK - and that is completely understandable.

Also there are a substantial number of Albion supporters living in Scotland.

Always remember that, apart from the large number of Scots Irish, Welsh etc. living here, there is a very large number of English living in Scotland and who have been welcomed there. So please don't side with those so incredibly narrow minded !

Some of the posts on here have gone way beyond that so I would say it is high time to call a halt !

Lived in the West of Scotland for 6 months a few years back. Individually the Scots were generally pleasant about the English, but as a collective nation, with the help of the Scottish press they are at best extremely anti-English, sometimes to the point of racism, so although I don't have an issue with Scottish people, I can't support the national team, CMS or not!

Not sure I'd actively support but I'd certainly watch and I don't think that, outside of their very occasional WC appearances, that I have watched a game involving Scotland unless they were playing England.

OK i'll be totally honest with you, there are a lot of Scots that love to see the English get beat, but there are also more than you would imagine who support England.
The obsession through the media to hype up England has a lot to do with the ABE brigade, and even up here we get this rammed down our throats, i mean you are watching Brazil vs Denmark for example and before, at half time and after the game they will cross to the England Camp for an exclusive on what England had for breakfast or other such meaningless drivel.

Personally i want England to win, as long as its not against Scotland, but im really not bothered if you lose, why would i be i'm Scottish. There are people up here who support England INSTEAD of Scotland, that really pisses me off! But yes, sadly, there is still the ABE brigade.

I have many reasons for wanting England to win, my kids are both English, i lived in England during Argentina 78, when England couldnae dae it cos they didnae qualify, and most people i spoke to wanted Scotland to win the bloody cup, seems far fetched now, but they were quite fancied then. So now that we no longer qualify, i want England to do well just as long as we dont get it rammed down our throats for the next however many decades til you do it again!
