...or will the family, friends, drink, festive spirit, the act of giving, the anniversary of the birth of our lord, the merriment and bonhomie get in the way?

I've got no chance - by the time we have visited grandchildren and other assorted family and friends I reckon I will have clocked up the best part of 300 miles and a 12 hour day before I get home for my first drink! Afraid the board will have to wait until Boxing Day

I might be so bored with my mum's ridiculous party games that I have a quick look. I'll then see it's full of people I don't know slagging each other off for reasons I don't understand, and I'll go and have some leftover nut roast.

Depends if I get anything 'PC related' and means I'll turn her on (the pooter).

More than likely will spend the day putting batteries in electrical goods and trying to figure out how to repair the Dr Who figure the boy has just broken.

We must be backward here in the West - my hopes extend only to GH 3. We seem to be 98 iterations behind you trend-setters in the South East.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

GH3 is bloody hard, but superb nonetheless (obviously).
The battle mode is brilliant (and you HAVE to win in order to progress to the next batch of songs). Took me ages to beat Slash.
