well it is the official opening so yes i will be there, underwhelmed by Tottenham wtf?
are they not big enough for us bearing in mind they got to the Champions League quarter finals, some people....

Same as. I'd much rather be playing Spurs who (I'm guessing) will be more likely to send a half decent side down than play one of the top 4 who would probably send down a bunch of stiffs/trialists/ressies that no one has ever head of.

Anyone who thinks that Spurs are not a decent friendly for a side recently promoted from League 1 is frankly deluded. As for the occasion I still remember the first friendly at Withdean against Forest - the whole place was buzzing because we were back in Sussex and no-one seemed bother that (a) it's not Man U/Chelsea or (b) it's not the first league game.

I'm thinking I will go now. I was going to wait for the full league game but I'm not sure I can resist - especiall after a summer of no footy. I wonder how tickets will be sold and if they will give season ticket holders first option on their designated seats.

Pre season friendlies are usually a bit shit so I have zero interest in the Spurs match to be honest, and I won't be doing the SSC match either because I am unavailable.

First time I go to the Amex will be for a league match. Can't ruddy wait.

Thanks Greens :(
I can't wait to walk up the five flights of stairs, onto the WSU concourse, then see my entrance and get that first sight of the hallowed turf and settle down for the first league game

Not just because Spurs aren't as big a club as Man U or Arsenal but more because I want my first Amex game to be a proper league match with full capacity and just a bigger sense or 'wow' when you walk up the steps and see the inside of the ground for the first time.
100% this. I want the awe of that first league game to be my first memory of the Amex.
