[Albion] Will we ever be in the top three?

Thanks to that abysmal pass, we missed the chance to go 3rd in the table, which would have been our highest-ever league position, if you exclude very early-season placings.

I think that's why I'm so annoyed about it - it would have been a small historical achievement for our club. A chance denied by a £25m Dutchman whose legs seem to be tied together with masking tape. With our upcoming two fixtures, it will become out of our reach, and probably will be for the remainder of the season. Will we ever reach such heights?

Need to stop upfucking against teams at foot of the table. Each time we do that it largely negates some very impressive results v teams at the top of the table. Net effect: we don't go Top 3

We cannot compete with the top 3, Europe is the target

In the glorious light of day after yesterday, things don't seem too bad.
Yes that was a woeful pass by Wieffer, which could've won us the game.
But shit happens and they scored.
It's the nature of the PL.
Anyway I'm sure there's positive things to come out of the next 2 PL games 🙂

Most likely we wouldn't have been third by the end of the weekend anyway.

Going third halfway through the weekend is premier league bullshit hyperbole.

Where we end up at the end of the season is what's important not if we go third for a few hours on a Saturday in October.

Even in the cold light of day we are carrying on this nonsense. Football really has lost its way.

The next two games could be a little trying on here. Sales of pampers and pitch forks are going to go through the roof.

We are doing alright.

I don't want to tempt fate, but the club is very much still on an upwards trajectory.

The club is brilliantly well run. I do predict we will qualify for Europe again, possibly this season, possibly numerous times in the future.

We probably won't see 3rd place this season, but who knows. To be honest, who cares.

We have our own goals as a football club. Realistically and with great ambition, those goals are European qualification and/or cup trophies... and we're very much still on track to achieve them.

Unless we make the Amex a fortress no one fancies coming to then no.
Russel Martin won’t be to worried about coming here and will look for a point or 3.
FH needs to learn to adapt to formation changes which sounds odd saying that as surely that’s the basics of being a manager let alone one in the PL.

Does it really matter? Going back to Europa League is the goal plus trashing the club slightly to the north in South London, Crapstal Palarsch!

I’ll be ecstatic with even 1 point from our next 2 league matches tbh.

If Tommy Doyle hadn't skied that earlier on a plate chance we'd have been 1-0 down. Footballers sometimes make mistakes shocker!

Being in particular position during the season is neither here nor there, it’s just a fleeting moment that doesn’t mean anything, like being two up with five minutes to go. It’s being top six at the end of the season that counts. UTA.
