Why should West Brom and Leeds be promoted when it’s possible one or both could have dropped out of the top two in the remaining games? Fulham still has both of them to play.
Why should Norwich get a reprieve when they are six points adrift at the bottom? This is the same number of points West Brom are ahead by. If you are saying West Brom are as good as promoted, then Norwich are as good as relegated and should go down.
Should we guess the winner of the FA Cup as well?
It didn’t finish, and on the 31st May it is finished and should be null and void. Football is a game - entertainment. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Sorry, Liverpool, Leeds, West Brom, Rotherham, Worthing and others; you were unlucky and lost out.
Let’s restore normality to the world, and people’s lives, and then start up the game again afresh with no-one unduly advantaged or disadvantaged.
This. I really don't get why so many are trying to accommodate Liverpool, Leeds and WBA! It's hard on them, no one can deny that, but that's the reality of the crisis we are going through.

to be fair Liverpool should get the title because they've been literaly run away leaders.

The same logic applies to null and voiding the season. Why should Norwich survive if the season is void?
If football is just a ‘game’ then why does it matter whether you null and void it, or say 3/4 is complete and we’ll take it from there - sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
Don’t see that there’s a difference in logic really, as you could it apply it to both scenarios.

I totally agree but let's be honest any semblance of normality is probably the best part of a year away, so let's say we can start up again in Spring 2021, wouldn't it be more logical to use that ideal window to finish the current season by the end of May 21 and then start afresh in August for the next season than starting a brand new season at that point?

They’ll have 2 extra home games next season. Not sure what choice they’ll have about revenue now. At this rate I can’t even see next season starting, let alone finishing this season.

what absurdity. you cant "re-run" 2019/2020. you simply scrub it and move on to the next year.

Re-run it means void it and restart again in 2020/21. It is far from absurd.

It isn't. I'm not going any further with this debate on semantics.
As an albion fan it would be convenient if the season ended now, but it will be a scandal if Liverpool don’t get the opportunity to win the title.
This season should resume whenever football starts again.
There could be games every day of the week to get the season done ASAP.
If there’s still a lag and a knock on for next season , then so be it.
Cancelling the FA Cup, league cup and international friendlies would help catch up some time.

Because declaring the season null and void is treating every team the same way. All results of all teams expunged for competitions not completed. This is a unilateral approach which is fair to all teams.
Deciding some hypothetical outcomes for some teams should take place is treating teams differently and is, by definition, unfair.

It’s not fair null and void either as 29 games happened in PL, 33 or so in other leagues. These results happened, points were awarded. Saying they didn’t happen is no different to saying we’ll take it as it is. No way is going to actually be satisfactory, and a unilateral approach certainly isn’t going to be fair to sides who won most of their games.

How about, subject to the Coronavirus being done and dusted, we start the new season but with each team carrying over their points total from 2019/20 to be added at the end of the 2020/21 campaign? If you like a two season programme combined into one.
