I just think the GUS factor will pull in the cameras for this one. They like to have a story to hang on the match, and there's a story unfolding here under his guidance. Bit of archive footage from his Chelsea days, a moderately amusing interview, a few shots of him leaping around on the touchline, throw in a couple of aerial shots of the Amex, and BANG - you've got yourself a show.

You should be a TV producer!

When would ITV ever ever have screened a live match from Withdean? Just think about it.

They may have when the ill-fated ITV Digital bought the rights to the Football League for about 58 times what they were worth. Was that the year we won division 2?

The Rushden game a few years ago was televised if you are looking for a precedent.

That was a 2nd round game on Sky.

And before anyone says the Monday night game when we beat Reading 3-1 was on ITV Digital it wasn't.

No chance, traditionally the non league team is always at home in the first (and usually) second round. If it went to a replay it would almost certainly be on, however.

Barnet v Charlton a derby match?! Eh?

I'd say Plymouth v Swindon and Rotherham v York are considered more of a local interest game than that, and much more chance of being on.

Also, although they're both non league teams, I wouldn't be surprised to see Corby v Luton on the box.

It will be among Rochdale v FC United, Plymouth v Swindon and D&R v Orient. Can't see them picking us.

And because Bobby Z was going for a record of scoring in consecutive games at the time.

Sky as well. ITV Digital had already gone bust (and wasn't it 2-1)

Only ITV Digital games were 4-0 & 3-1 away defeats to Brentford & Stoke.

We played Reading twice on the telly I think.
3-1 at home when Melton scored and 2-1 away on a friday when Kitson scored off his shoulder.

Almost correct 8 we played them in Feb 2002 on a Monday night at Withdean not on live telly Melton Zamora and Junior Lewis. And then in April 2003 at the Madejski when indeed Kitson scored on a Friday night, live on Sky.
