Well, will he?

I can see a lot of scenarios which could mean he doesn't - principally doing either very well or very badly. I'm not sure about the middle ground, because the middle ground probably doesn't mean Championship football and I think that could be viewed as 'doing badly' to Tony Bloom.

yes, i think this season is too much to expect promotion so as a result of that i dont see him being poached on his success. Next season we need to be pushing for promotion if we narrowly miss out, e.g. losing in the play off final then i believe he would be offered an extension through to, Falmer.

Surely it doesn't matter who is running the team-only Tony Bloom can lead them out,it's his stadium!

Surely we've got another 3 managers to hire and fire before that happens?

I've voted an EMPHATIC no.

He signed a two-year contract I believe?

If he's shit, he gets sacked

If he's brilliant, he leaves for a club in either of the two leagues above us

If he's ok he might hang around for a couple of years, but that means we're still League One, so he gets bored before that and goes back to Leeds or some other Championship team.

Yes, in the Premiership, against Chelsea.

Only joshing (obviously) but I bloody hope he does lead us out!

I'm still sticking to my 'no'. The people who are currently creaming themselves at his appointment will be the first ones on his back if we go, say, five games without a win. Hell, some might even start if we haven't won a game under him by the end of November, despite our fixture list. It's his first job and even if he turns out to be the new Alex Ferguson he'll make mistakes and we are NOT a club that tolerates mistakes; we prefer the "if we keep sacking managers we'll eventually get a good one" philosophy.

And of course if he IS good he'll probably get poached.

And yes I hope I'm wrong. Watching us play Man U at Falmer in the Premier with Poyet as the manager is my current ambition.

If he does well he'll be poached, if he does anything else he won't last.

I gather from all interviews so far that we are a stepping stone so If we do well I imagine he will be off .

I'd have thought that the only scenario where he leaves is if he fucks everything up. Only a Premiership club is going to take a punt on a manager with 2 year's success, and even then it'll be one of the noddy clubs like Wigan or Bolton. Blooms cash should see off any potential Championship suitors if he really is that good.

Maybe I'm just trying to remain optimistic, I haven't been this excited about an Albion manager for a decade, and that was only because we were moving back to Brighton after a 2 year exile.
