Having grown up in Liverpool and Birkenhead I got quite fond of Liverpool F.C. that lasted until we stuffed Liverpool at Anfield (I was on the KOP that day) and went on to that magnificent cup final in 83.

Haven’t been tempted since.

Nothing can surpass arrogance of ManU fans, players, Taggart and the club throughout the SkyTV years, and latterly ManC (but thankfully they have few fans). I had the misfortune of working with plastic Mans who never, ever went to OT. They weren’t just bad losers, they were bad winners, with a psychotic hatred of so many other clubs and they vindictively loved the Albion’s lost decades.

Exactly how I recall things. Funny how they’ve disappeared, or more likely, just jumped into the City and Liverpool bandwagons

Colleagues of a plastic Manc from East Brighton and another from Worthing stood out as wnkrs. Spurs supporters I know (who actually go to WHL) have always observed that Manure fans spend every match spitting hate in their chants about a multitude of other clubs “Do they ever song a positive chant?”.

I’ll never understand plastics of any club in fairness. What on earth’s the point? Such people often have personality disorders in my experience, I pity them more as I grow older. They’ll never understand or have the comradeship and match day routine that following your local club does. Losers, all of em and so easy to silence if they do get a bit crowy.

There are a few Liverpool lovers on this thread..

Strongly suspect the footballing world will be overwhelmingly underwhelmed. Always was the footballing world's most meaningless trophy. This just proves it.

Plastics are wonderful. You'll always have the wood on them.

A local United plastic once told me Brighton were shit. I then announced, even though I'd not seen them play at home, I was a Manchester City fan. After all, if he could choose a good team then so could I. That stopped the comments.

I didn’t bother watching the games, I don’t know anyone that did. The last time I viewed this tournament was exactly 20 years ago, in ManU’s ill fated world club cup campaign. But the Latin Americans’s always take it seriously, 15,000 Flamengo fans at these finals (a chance to put monied European football in its place?).

No, that's the Super Cup. Utterly pointless.

At BHASVIC Chelski plastics (who never go to Stamford Bridge), love coming in gloating on a Monday when the Albion have lost, they openly can’t stand the club. I can see why they might’ve sought Reflected Glory by jumping on the Abramovich trophy buying, but why the hatred of their home town club. Weird.

Still not Champions of England....and hopefully wont be this year

Good point! It does make em look a bit stupid, any fan bragging about yesterdays Mickey Mouse trophy when not been champions of England this century even.
