Not his fault, but to have had to return to the Lancing training complex to a Macca-like heroes welcome would have been a little bit awkward.

No doubt he contributed a fair bit in training to help prepare the other players in front of him, in terms of selection/starting eleven.

On the plus side, he'll be raring to go for us this coming season. A pivotal player for the Albion. Even more so now that Pascal is departing.

I couldn't believe how we persisted with Pickford's long kicking .
In those few minutes after we scored we had Spain pinned back. By their corner flag, Walker with his throw in didn't see enough movement (should have thrown it short to Palmer ...but probably coaching) and threw it back to Stones who under pressure put it back to Pickford.
Pickford kicked long of course, and we lost possession and momentum.
I thought in that moment that we'd lose...it was England in a nutshell.

I would have thought the mistake was allowing the cross in the first place. As the scrote bombed up the line he went passed an England player just jogging back, think it was Rice, he made absolutely no attempt to speed up and go with him. Far too easy.
