Total talentless knob. Did you watch The Voice last night? While the other three judges displayed their talents he pranced about and pretended to play an instrument. That summed it up for me. On his videos you never hear him actually sing, just a load of synthesized nonsense and a few people prancing about. He's just famous for being famous.

The term "god like musical genius" has been used to describe people like Dylan, Hendrix, Michael Jackson and Dave Grohl so if you think such a title can be used in reference to Will.i.Amshit then you're either really clueless about music or insane. Using auto tune does not make you talented. Lyrically awful, devoid of any originality making it generic pop music. If you want the god like musical genius of this generation I think you'll need to look to a musical genre that uses actual instruments that takes actual talent to play, write and compose.

Grohl can sing, play the guitar, play the drums and has been in Nirvana, Queens of the Stoneage, Them Crooked Vultures and a few more. His talents swamp those of Willy.

He is good at sampling, ripping off other tracks and rehashing tunes. Nothing wrong with that of course, our very own Norman Cook has made a career out of it. He does have an ability to make something catchy that sticks in your head though.

so agree with this. there are so many "stars" out there with no talent - Flo ri da is another example. It seems that to be successful most females have to be porn stars and most males have to be fat, black and point their fingers a lot. but then I am old so what do I know?

Only that most of the bands from 60s &70s could play instruments and had someone in the band who wrote the songs

So the fact I also used Dylan, a man whose lyrics are used in poetry classes at universities around the world and arguably the greatest songwriter of all time, Hendrix a man who completely redefined guitar technique and, again, arguably the greatest guitarist of all time and Michael Jackson as examples I still lose? Wow. And your definition of genius is very bizzare. Dave Grohl if far more musically talented, far more charasimatic and has done much more for music than Will.i.Am can ever hope to achieve, even if he was "lucky" to get there. And let's face it Will.i.Am is pretty lucky too because without autotune he wouldn't be famous so thank god for that invention... and if you genuinely believe will.i.am to be some sort of musical genius you really are clueless.
