I have to agree with you, and we all know that this happens, the biggest culprits for over breeding are the Irish.

The point I was making was that without racing the breed would be in decline, the Greyhound doesn't make it into the top twenty of most popular dogs to own.
That's fine. The Sussex Spaniel is a breed like this, but I see enough out while walking the Greyhound.
I would love to see the end of the Racing industry and have Greyhound just for pets, even though we see a lot that are breed for Showing, slightly different as they have much deeper exaggerated chests. Hickstead holds the Hound Show every year if you were interested in seeing the show variety.
