They would probably hate the comparison but they're the new Yuppies. Instead of stripey shirts and red braces it's beards and lumberjack shirts. Shoreditch is the new City, craft beers are the new Bollinger and mung bean yogurt is the new nouvelle cuisine.

I did have a rather nice craft pilsner made with champagne yeast a few weeks back.

Reminds me of an experimental pilsner with a champagne yeast from the early '90s called ZEISS. Head-mental stuff at something like 8.2%, but slipped down like silk.

I'll probably give you that. Like I say I've worked with some (although I hadn't heard of the term 'hipster' referring to a specific sub-group until a few months ago) and they were mostly ok, whereas the City Yuppies that I met in the 1980s were all utter wankers. It's still not really my 'scene' though.
