Sussex, by the sea
our local MP is the slimiest tory twunt ever, even he's come out and said Cummings should be goings.

I can only assume he was on acid this weekend as his voting record is the worst in the land.

I can imagine that you would prefer to spend 3-months of lockdown in a nice rural location with lots of open space, rather than a flat in London.

Luckily his wife was sick (but not with Covid-19 symptoms), so that they then both expected they would both get Covid-19 and not be able to look after their child, such that there would be a future immediate threat to life. This meant they were able to head to this alternative location, in order to self isolate from the risk of having Covid-19 and the future potential immediate threat to life, despite not having any symptoms of it.

Resigned as a minister but staying on as a Conservative MP? Why doesn’t he go the whole hog if he feels that strongly about it?
I wonder whether he was going to resign anyway, and thought this was a good opportunity to make himself look principled.

I find it hilarious that people on the thread probably know more now on the intricacies and minutiae of the Cummings family than they understand their own.

For the first time in 30 years as a registered voter, I have felt the need to contact my elected representative directly as I am concerned about her silence on this matter - especially as she worked in the transport department in the past. I await her reply with interest.

All joking aside, the vox pops yesterday showed how many people are now ignoring lockdown advice based on this hypocrisy. However stupid this makes them, it is putting us all at risk and can't be allowed to continue.

Not the first time, but for many years, I've emailed mine too. A Tory but one of the saner pragmatic ones. A rare breed amongst the current bunch.

In his one-man show, the slimeball claimed to have written and warned about Coranavirus in his 2019 blogs.

There is no some doubt about this claim. According to Faisal Islam's Twitter and archive research of websites. Seems that the 2019 blog relating to this was edited on 14th April - the day Mr and Mrs Cummings arrived back in London.

This may be incorrect, however he also claims that No 10 has just corroborated that the original blogs have been post-edited.

Smoke - fire.

Playing devil's advocate, Cummings is saying that he didn't break the rules and this wasn't a pleasure trip, unlike Dr Calderwood's excursion.

He might be lying and just fancied a trip out, but it's slightly different and Grimes isn't a hypocrite if he genuinely believes it. He might be other things, but not a hypocrite. :p

Basically he has undermined the governments moral authority. Johnson's failure to act again will result in yet further loss of human life, history will be judge how he has failed us all

What with the press pack crammed like sardines outside his house to accuse Cummings of not respecting social distancing and Sky news travelling 260 miles to stand outside his parents' house to complain about him travelling 260 miles to his parents' house, the media are in danger of creating a backlash and a narrative where Cummings is the victim.
