Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
It's entirely possible that most grandparents including many elderly Tory voters in the shires would understand that trying to make sure a young grandchild is properly cared for when both parents are self-isolating/ill is understandable, (certainly not the crime of the century described by Cummings haters) as they would help out in similar circumstances.

The cabinet rallies round ....

I know how ill coronavirus makes you. It was entirely right for Dom Cummings to find childcare for his toddler, when both he and his wife were getting ill.

— Matt Hancock (@MattHancock) May 23, 2020

Taking care of your wife and young child is justifiable and reasonable, trying to score political points over it isn’t. https://t.co/QVkFmKgOsW

— Rishi Sunak (@RishiSunak) May 23, 2020

It’s reasonable and fair to ask for an explanation on this. And it has been provided: two parents with Coronavirus, were anxiously taking care of their young child. Those now seeking to politicise it should take a long hard look in the mirror. https://t.co/fvfvPmlccQ

— Dominic Raab (@DominicRaab) May 23, 2020

Caring for your wife and child is not a crime https://t.co/YCXWhKTq28

Will he survive? Probably ..

What a shame his wife wrote about it in the Spectator (I have posted the link) which is quite different.

You have just quoted your own post, why are you quoting your own post?..

Because you completely ignored my question of how your earlier post defending nonces against the Crown Prosecution Service, aligned with your stated philosophy of 'Doing what is the best for Me and mine'.

I appreciate it's a bit cruel calling you out on your hypocrisy.

*edit* You were being hypocritical weren't you

I don't care if he's this country's main policy maker and the defacto prime minister, I just hope he gets voted out of office come the election...

A good attempt at defending the indefensible, but not a patch on your Ardent Unionist defending the border in the Irish Sea :lolol:

It will all blow over in a couple of days, he’ll either be sacked, resign or keep his job, nothing the panty wetters can do about it, as I said I couldn’t be arsed either way, his work is done, he got Brexit done and the remainiacs will never forgive him for that.

Brexit isn't done hahahah it will not be done for at least a decade, if at all!

A good attempt at defending the indefensible, but a poor second place to your Ardent Unionist defending the border in the Irish Sea :lolol:

They will never concede to the fact, that they were mugged, by the chancers in office. Skins too thin.
Will be hard to find somebody to admit they voted leave in couple of years. They sold the country down the river being gullible.

Hands up if you've been on a picket line stopping ordinary Londoners and commuters getting to their jobs......

He is a truly horrible little IRA supporting ****, He rocked up at one of our picket lines a few years back, amongst others it was manned by Myself ex Navy, two ex Paras, one former Royal Marine and a former Royal Anglian, it was made quite clear that if He didn’t **** off sharpish He was going to get banged out.
If He is allowed back into the RMT after this latest outburst I will be cancelling My membership.

I notice by their coverage that the Sun are really not bothered with this Story. It’s not their online headline this morning (as it is virtually everywhere else) and there is no editorial bias in the language describing his actions, you could say that it’s a very balanced bit of reporting which is strange because the Sun are very rarely known for this.

The Mail online is different though, it seems that their editors believe their readers might well be a little pissed off with the hypocrisy shown by Johnson’s odd little Rasputin/Campbell hybrid.

It's the comments below the Mail piece that are telling - they're about 90% anti-Cummings and are generally furious with the government response. I think that No 10 has misjudged this - they seem to think it's only of concern to a few lefties, I don't get that impression at all

I think you are on dangerous ground here, I don’t think even the most rabid, swivel eyed FBPE loons are suggesting He’s a nonce.
There was a full blown meltdown and a pile on regarding Him and his alleged breaking the law regarding lockdown, I was just attempting to air the other side of debate, if you see everything through the glasses you want to look at it through it all becomes a bit boring doesn’t it? Debate is great.

Is there an echo in here?

Is there nothing this (whatever a collective noun for ***** is) of ***** try to lie their way out of?

If anyone tries to defend it, then they are either completely gaslit or just brain-dead.

So you're calling people on here "the Leftwaffe" for pointing out that an unelected mandarin responsible for government CV19 policy broke his own rules, you're calling people undemocratic for still having reservations about Brexit, you hate Labour but when your own wage is involved you're happy to stand on a picket line threatening to "bang people out".. Quite clear who the undemocratic loon is here.

The bloke is clearly a ****, but the special kind of **** who hasn't quite realised how lonely he is and how unloved he is, therefore tries to fill the void by trolling on here in the hope of some sort of interaction to fill in the hours before his mum calls him down for dinner.
