Strong rumours here that Buckley has hit the big time with a dream move to the mighty Wanderers.

He doesn't seem to have had much of a look in at Sunderland, so I don't know much about him. What are your thoughts about him......should we be thrilled ?

Wonderful player on his day. Scintillating burst of pace and devastating finish as seen on the opening day of the Amex stadium, the day he netted 8 minutes into injury time for the winner which sent our fans into delirium and which deservedly secured his place as an Albion legend.

*Also the day when sadly, Billy Sharpe, died a horrible death at the hands of Lewis Dunk*

Sadly no, not on recent years. There was one helluva player in there a few years ago - a real game changer with invention, speed, finishing - at times the whole package. Was never quite the same after lots of injuries robbed him of pace. The move to Sunderland worked out to be a poor choice for him (and Liam Bridcutt) from a playing perspective, and he certainly has been a shadow of the player he was. Not seen him for so long now that assume he will never have the same pace again, so can he adapt his game to be a different type of player - I hope so as he gave us some of our best and most iconic moments in the Amex era..

It's really important a new player fits into a club. I'd suggest that Will and your Physio get to know each other early on. They'll be seeing a lot of each other. Seriously, if you can get and keep him fit, then a great purchase.

He was great for us when fit, fast and direct. If he's over his hamstring problems you've got a gem.

The key for him will be going to a club who intend to play him regularly, that's what he needs. Stop/start is going to kill him because he needs a run of games to hit top form. When he was in top form for us he was flying. Nobody will forget him butchering Dan Harding to the extent that the poor lamb had to be withdrawn, it was just too much.

He'd be a smashing signing for Bolton, he's a gem of a player with a history of injury problems but that's why you could get him. If he didn't have fitness concerns, he'd be playing regularly in the Premier League.

You've got a fantastic footballer on your hand, on his day.

Injury prone, but with a bit of luck he'll do very well for you.

Wonderful player when on form which is one in 10. Tends to go - Average, average, brilliant, injured x 7 and start again.

Needs to stop being a winger and find a position his cheese strings will let him play.

If he stays injury free he would be a good signing for Bolton if not it will be wages wasted. He is well capable of being a hit in The Championshuip again.

Wages ?? At Bolton ?? he'll be lucky.

There seems to be a consensus that Buckley is a cracking player at Championship level.......if he can stay fit, but (having looked him up ) it looks like he's had his injuries at Sunderland & also whilst out on loan from them. Might be best not to expect too much from him !!!
