Wilkins hails McGhee- "Mark's done a great job with the youth"

That could actually be the win-win scenario that sees all parties saving face ?

By jove Jim - I think you've got it.

The longer this goes on the more likely I think it is that McGhee will stay. If he was going to go he would have gone by now.

Maybe the continuing delay is down to discussions around his precise role next season
Well that's certainly some comedown from what you were spouting the other day that the entire board were united in sacking him and the board division stories were just McGhee inventions to Naylor :)

I suspect that the cold reality of handing over 250k might have proved a pill too bitter to swallow

And of course Director of Football is a sop job really isn't it ?

Excuse me iff I'm wrong?

But I thought Dick Knight said no one person will control the club?

So iff we apparently have 5 board members & 3 of them want McGhee out then is'nt that democratic?

Or maybe Dick & his glove puppet have different ideas on it?

Just a thought.

Do you really think MM would move upstairs?

McGhee won't take an upstairs job, if he wants that he would go to a better club than ours.

Talking about bitter pills, I suggest you have a long hard look at the Premierbet accounts information I have published on the other thread, it is somewhat at odds with either what you assumed or what you have been told.

Like where?

You always bang on about us having to name a successor if we are to talk about McGhee leaving so let's turn it around. Where EXACTLY would McGhee get an upstairs job?

Boro, they love managers that can spunk money on rubbish players.
