I’m not sure Joshua is much.

The hype would be massive but Joshua is very much a manufactured boxer who’s had it all laid on for him. Fury really has done it the hard way against Klitschko and Wilder.

If he can do that Wilder, goodness knows what he’d do to Joshua.

This narrative of AJ having it easy is complete nonsense. Unless of course you missed him winning Olympic gold, beating 4 of the current top 10 ring magazine heavyweights, getting off the floor to beat Klitschko and avenging the Ruiz defeat when everyone in boxing thought he it was the wrong thing to do to take the immediate rematch??!

A few years ago on here everyone except me was saying he was useless, David Price would KO him, David Haye would knock him spark out and he had no chance against the Klit.
Now I notice they are all jumping on the Fury bandwagon, should have been here with me from the start

Mate I’m not having that I’ve been a TYSON fan since day dot and went to Düsseldorf to watch him do Klitchko. I’m so happy .

An absolute masterclass from Fury who is hands down far and away leagues above any living heavyweight boxer today. Laughable that fools on here used to think AJ would beat him. Joshua would have watched that last night and totally shat his pants. Fury would completely dismantle him in brutal fashion. Long live the Gypsy KING!

I am not disputing that the corner took the correct decisioin to safeguard him but always seems a lttle shallow when a fighter throws in the towell. I would have preferred the ref to have stepped in earlier when he was obviouslybu in trouble. Fury will be too much for AJ if they fight but the problem will be money as having 4 belts I would assume AJ will want the lions share of the fee.

I think a more logical fight for Wilder would be AJ. Should he win he can go into a third fight with Fury as a champion and demand a champions purse.

Many seem in a bad way of all weights, for their age. Waiting for the fight, I looked up good boxers from the past and how are they now. Not good reading. I can’t help but always having enjoyed watching boxing, I don’t want it banned, but it is brutal. The featherweight McGuigan also killed an opponent.

I would suspect that BMA or Lancet type research papers would simply find that the sport causes brutal damage per se.

not wrong..... the best ever was reduced to a shell in the end by parkinsons (many attributed to all the head shots), Thomas the hitman hearns,a great from the heyday of the middleweight div, last night being interviewed sounded like a man who'd been punched to many times. That sort of force against the skull is going to do damage.

Fury could do the Wilder 3 rematch then AJ (assuming he beats Wilder again and AJ beats Pulev) or just go straight to AJ then get out if he wins (which I think he does).

Retire an undefeated multi multi millionaire great, with your health more or less in tact and enjoy your family and the fruits of your success.

Fury has such a great defence in every way, he’s taken less punishment that many.

I was an AJ fan, I still like him, it’s never personal. But Fury has taken the division to another level and more, he’d destroy Wilder or AJ next time out.

People were not necessarily wrong. Fury has since beaten all his demons including obesity between fights, he’s regained aggression from the legendary Kronk Gym, last night he had everything. Whilst AJ has been exposed as a limited by comparison, and Wilder is nothing when unable to land his huge rights.

Wilder has the explosive right, but he cannot box. For years he's followed the Klitchko's mould and made a longevity career of hand picking inferior journeymen or bums and knocking them out, difference is, both Klitchko brothers could box if needs be....

Wilder has avoided any real big names for far to long and was badly exposed by Fury and properly beaten up last night and it showed his total lack of ring craft. Fury has now beaten him twice convincingly, despite the draw on the records.

AJ is more of explosive puncher than a ring craft boxer, but he's still better than Wilder and he can box a bit to........ I've personally always been convinced it was Wilder bottling AJ and not the other way around as Wilder tries to make out.

AJ wins that fight. Wilder has nowhere to go except the rematch with Fury. He's not good enough to box back to mandatory contention and he wont want to go in with most of the top ten to achieve that.

Wilder to retire after final payday and getting beaten again in contest 3 is my hunch.

Not sure if he will keep his word and retire after 2 more fights. He seems to enjoy the adulation, and its hard to see who will beat him in the near future.

How can you say AJ hasn't done everything that has been asked of him? Prior to last night he had by far the best resume in the division and now he's still 2nd only to Fury. He's fought mandatory after mandatory (which means mostly top 10 HWs) and went through a war with a very good Wlad. He got concussed and then beat down by Ruiz and was written off by everyone who had an opinion and went on to make Ruiz look very, very ordinary by outboxing him when we were told AJ absolutely cannot learn to box in that style. He did. AJ v Fury would be the best matchup because we get an undisputed and because AJ is twice the boxer technically that Wilder is. Wilder will take the rematch I am sure. AJ will beat Pulev and he'll beat Usyk and then in 2021 I hope that nobody tries to stand in the way of this mega fight.

Fury is by far the best boxer in the Div, (though even he looked ordinary in his previous fight against Shwarz) but Fury still doesnt have as explosive a finishing punch as Wilder or AJ..... which always gives the puncher a chance. If it goes 12 Fury wins, if it doesnt Fury will still be favourite but AJ is not a formality imho.

I agree with you that AJ is vunerable, put down by an ageing Klitchko, unconvincing against Takam or even Parker, beaten by Ruiz Jnr. He's nowhere near as good a boxer as Fury, nor do I think he has the same lions heart as fury........ but he is better than Wilder, and if the best AJ turns up, he has a decent chance. AJ even looked vunerable against Dillion Whyte, who boxed well until getting knocked out and hasnt lost since.

Smart money would be on Fury, but if the best of both fighters turn up, it wont be a walk in the park for either.

Luckily both fighters want it, will come down to Warren and Hearn and if they can find compromise.

I won’t enjoy it, two Brits I really like, plus I genuinely believe it will end early in a crushing defeat for AJ.

Last night Fury was actively promoting Fury Wilder III, in the next door Raiders Stadium in front of 70,000.

I have always thought this about Wilder, most protected heavyweight champion in history. He used the talk of fighting AJ to raise his profile and then only took the Fury fight because he saw it as his chance to get a name on his resume, believing that Fury would be washed out after 3 years out of the ring.

44 fight career consisting of mostly journeymen and pointless rematches.

Wilder would lose to Ruiz in my opinion.

Last night was exceptional but Fury has also had some pretty poor performances over the years, put down in the 2nd round against Steve Cunningham and unconvincing against Wallin and Pianeta! You can never be quite sure what version of Fury is going to turn up!

I don’t understand why so many people talk down AJ.
His record is high quality even though he has been learning on the job.
fury will be too much for him IF he can replicate last night’s form. But, he’d be too much for anyone fighting like that.
AJ deserves huge respect for his form over the past five years.
Easy to now forget that Fury looked piss poor against a nobody only a few months ago.
