Great to see Wigan get the win especially after some of the dodgy decisions they've had against them recently. Shame it probably won't be enough to derail United's title win though.

As much as i dislike it,Capricorn you may well be right United could well go on to win the title and their Bagpipe boss picks up manager of the year, but if that win helps to keep Wigan up and Martinez in a job i can live with that, cause i believe what Martinez does with the money available to him is little short of a miracle.

Er... Wigan's disallowed goal???

Sorry, the match updates I was reading said it was disallowed for a foul on De Gea? Either way it sounds like it was a fair result and Wigan deserved the win. However, I was just pointing out that decisions do go AGAINST United, despite what the rest of England thinks.

It does make me chuckle, Wigan limp through the season and look doomed every year, then with a dozen games to go they turn on the style. They've beaten Liverpool and Man Utd in recent weeks and got cheated out a of a point at Stamford Bridge. Fair play to Martinez, does a top job.

It's the same every season with every team battling relegation, and in my opinion the players are cheating their fans and the club and doing them a disservice. They can raise their game for the big clubs and when they're in the shit, but if they did this for every game the league table might look a lot different.

Look at QPR too, they have come from behind to beat Liverpool and Arsenal in recent weeks. Who knows what the score would have been against United if Derry wasn't dismissed.

I like Fergie's quote of "we didn't one decision all game"

No, you got two: the disallowed goal and Evans staying on the pitch.

Maybe he touched him or breathed upon him?

Goalkeepers get far too much protection nowadays.

He stood static, in front of him. De Gea made no attempt to get round him - just stood behind him and waved his arms about.

That was the worst decision in the game. To not give a second yellow for that foul was an unbelievably poor call.

From a corner that came off a Wigan player and a blatant hand ball for a penalty to United in the second half that was refused. United getting all the decisions again [/sarcasm]
It shouldn't have been a corner. However, they had a goal disallowed shortly before, and I didn't see much wrong with it. And I'm not sure about the united penalty claim either, it came off his leg first, which made the following handball clearly accidental and unavoidable.

With you on that Trig, the player had lost his footing so his balance was everywhere, that was never 'Hand to Ball'
