Wigan need to make an escape of Albion in 97 proportions but they are not dead yet. Sounds like a Peter James title!

Reading 0 Wigan 1

Three successive wins from now and Wigan stand a chance of escaping. They must think they are winnable as well.

February 2015
Charlton (H)
Cardiff (H)
Blackpool (A)

As easy as they get!

Ouch... They do look winnable games on paper, but Wigan won't be significantly odds on for any of them (will they?) - making it at least 8/1 or so that they collect maximum points...

In any case, anything less than victory for us on Saturday will be a major disappointment and a bit of a problem.

We need to stop worrying about what other teams do.
It`s inevitable at these stage of the season teams near the bottom start getting their finger out.

It`s all about what we do.

Absolutely right. This isn't about winning the odd battle, it's about winning a war. As you quite rightly say, now that games are beginning to run out, all of the teams down at the bottom, Blackpool included, are almost certainly going to start picking up points.

We simply need to make sure that we pick up more.

I agree. I think 49 pts should be gettable, bit after losing to Forest we will now need to beat Birmingham and Leeds. Wigan are in a worst state as to get that total, I think they may have to win the next three games.
