I was very near the front. The loud bangs etc were fine it was the talking and singing, all over the place and didn't sound very good. At half time I nearly said to the sound engineer he either needs another job or they need to spend money on a new audio system!

It was rubbish for us. We went just weeks before Lockdown 1. We've loved every other show.

For acoustic reasons, I thought the West End show a let down, as did Mrs.W. I'd recommend people buying seats near the front.

Loved the movie though.
The sound quality has been shocking for ages in town, constant complaints on the theatre forums etc, nothing has been done and they don’t give a shit because it makes bank regardless.

The tour is a much, much better production is every respect and I think a lot of people are going to be sorely disappointed if they love the film and decide to go and see the West End production. Even long time fans of the show are completely turned off by what they’ve been serving up over the last decade.

It’s basically a museum piece and cash cow and they don’t care about the quality at this point, the name sells alone.

Currently watching it, about a hour in, is there actually any story? I don’t think it’s really my thing.
She is asleep and needs to be awoken by a unconsented kiss to find her happy ever after.

We're going on Sunday. My wife, son and I loved the stage show in London and are looking forward to seeing it again.

I very much enjoyed Book of Mormon.
Added entertainment that a good tranche of patrons were there via an offer in The Telegraph! So a good number of salmon trousered gents and their tight buttoned wives leaving in disgust.

We didn’t like it all and we love the West End. At the time we put it down to poor seats a long way from the stage.
The biggest problem we had at the West End production was the audience. We had, without exaggerating, 3 groups around us who were talking constantly, and one group who were let in half way through the first act and proceeded to talk for 10 minutes as they got organised.

Being that Brit, I told each of them to shut the fu*k up, as politely as possible, but it’s another recent example for me where audience standards at the theatre, and also at the cinema, have dropped off a cliff.

I don’t care who you are, it’s really impossible to enjoy a production like that if you’ve got people in your ear the whole time. And for the money spent to go, they really should be making more of an effort to keep people quiet.

I think I've seen every production at the west end !! The Mrs loves them and we don't live that far away so with todaytix.com and the like we pay relative pennies for last minute tickets. I'm not a massive fan of musicals but I don't complain as the Mrs is very easy going and I watch all the footy I want and go on questionable lads holidays without question, so don't complain about these kind of activities.

Agree with what others have said ... Book of Mormon really good. Hamilton is also exceptional. The ones with scantily clad women always good for a cheap thrill ....moulin rouge , scherzinger in sunset boulevard (although that's finished now). I like the Paris ones as well crazy horse is basically just beautiful women dancing and singing naked, excellent fare !
