Yes! Amongst many other chants and insults, mainly aimed at QPR, the ref, and Richard Carpenter.

So you wouldnt call that boasting then ???

No I would call it a description. There cant be a man on this board who hasnt chanted such stuff at football matches, so its hardly the place to come boasting should I wish to. Oh well it brought a little bit of entertainment into my afternoon....

Justify abusing a Brighton player all you like, and if you think by doing so it's going to make him play any better then you're wrong, but hey as long as it entertained you for the afternoon thats OK then.

The last time he came off the bench I mentioned it and we watched as time after time he passed it back. Not once in that game did he try and give the ball to a forward.

football is about keeping the ball and if passing it backwards is the way to do it then so be it.

Brighton stayed up last year by trying to keep the ball for long periods of time.

If you have the ball the other team cant score.

To be honest i will admit to abusing Carpenter yesterday because he simply doesn't appear to be trying. And if infact i am wrong and he is trying then he is clearly not good enough. All proffessional footballers are lucky as they do what they love as a career. We all get warnings etc in our jobs and have to take them and continue, what makes a footballer any different?

Your boss shouts at you in front of everyone and swears at you?
You could take him to a tribunal and get compensation.

No he doesn't but i dont have a job which is in the spotlight. Most of the footballers would have watched games as children and know what is in the job description. Im afraid in all walks of life you have to take the rough with the smooth and you are not exempt from that if you are a footballer.

That isnt what Race said. She said abusing a player isn't going to make him play any better.

I know that and she is probably right but what it might do is highlight their poor performance and, eventually it could lead to players like Reid and Kerry being given a chance to show what they can do in that position.

When he has come off the bench he does the same as I have seen in the reserves. He never seems to pass forward. Every pass is back which puts more pressure on the defence.

You misunderstand his role. He's a holding midfielder, his job is to keep the ball with simple passes, not send ambitious 50-yard passes flying all over the place. His job is very much defensive.
