Why why and why again - Dennis Wise?

Apologies if fixtures, but my neighbour told me that Dennis Wise is being lined up as Albion manager for next season. I normally hate these rumours cos half the time they are not true....has anyone else heard this?
Please noooooooooooooooooo surely we should be getting Russell on a long-term contract now, preferably this week...what a message that would send out to the players before Saturday!

Rumours often start with one fanciful tosspot (that's a heavy drinker to you and me) putting two and two together (in this case, poison dwarf in need of club / club in need of a second hole in the head) and blabbing off his theory to his mates.

Those mates will tell their mates. And before you know it, it's spread like wildfire. People then get to hear the same rumour from different people, without realising there was only ever one 'source', and before you know it, it's gospel.

Meanwhile, the original tosspot has now fallen off his barstool, and can't remember anything, so he hears this rumour for what he believes is the first time, and will start it all over again.

It's the closest thing nature will ever come to perpetual motion.

Well following what my neighbour told me... he also told me that he saw a UFO once by the way, I was idly flicking through the Times online and it was mentioned in an old match report...admittedlly it was a report on the 3-2 beating by Swindon and things have obviously moved on a bit since then.

Took it with a pinch of salt then, but having seen it in The Times...bollox to it I'm sure Russell will get the job whatever happens on Saturday...

Don't think Slade should be given a long term contract as that is asking for trouble. More than likely I would hope we get him on a one year rolling contract if he agrees and, if we have a good season next year then try and tie him down to a longer contract.

If we give him four years and it all goes tits up then we will have to pay him off and another big dent in the coffers.

God imagine the weird and shit atmosphere at the Withdean with Wise in charge! Good job that out of the rumors you read on here out of 100% about 2% are actually true. Knight is not that senile and old yet and other members of the board will not allow this.

I fully expect are current Egg to be here next season, even if we drop out of the division.

I'd hope Russell will get a 2-3 year deal. I think he'll be offered that if we go down or stay up.

I think the board want him 100% focused on Saturday so won't offer him the job before after Saturday. If he thinks his job hinges on that game, that'll make him more determined to win it.

Never heard of inflatable eggs before but perhaps you could compromise and use a balloon!!!!!!!
