Maybe the staff wanted to be able to get home as well? Would imagine a fair number of them have to rely on SASTA's shitty service too.

I was always told there is no such thing as a stupid question. Just stupid people who ask them.
A separate point ,and not sure if it has been mentioned elsewhere. Can the club claim compensation of Southern for lack of trains ?. Similar to delay repay. The club have effectively subsidized travel in the price of tickets and are not getting what they pay for , and wasn't the stadium built with train service as part of a sustainable transport policy ?
