brighton, actually
i am a nimby on this one- the PA system / 'music' blares out from preston park from mid morning onwards.. VERY annoying.

trying to escape the lunacy is nigh impossible, as the town's traffic grinds to a halt for hours,

and the stink of fake tan, glitter and mascara was just too much!

apparantly EVERYONE's council tax money goes towards this..?

Somewhere over there...
Why I don't like it...? Well it's just not my cuppa tea (although I dont like tea, unless its Chinese Green Tea which is just about bareable, otherwise I prefer a nice cuppa coffee, prefabbly latte)

I know straight frinds who go most years and love it, and I have gay friends who used to go but now would rather be doing something else, and I have gay friends who has never liked it at all. It's just one of those things that you either love it or you hate it. (Just like marmite in a way now i come to think of it, mmmm i love marmite)

Ummm, think of the money it brings in! Hardly think it costs the taxpayer.

The council pays towards the hosting of it, so technically it is paid for out of our taxes. BUt it obviously brings lots of money into Brighton, but none goes directlt to the council and it depends on whether the stalls and selllers at the event are local

I shall be:

On a fishing boat off of the Marina from 8 am on saturday catching some makeral whilst sipping cold beers.

I shall then be heading to watch the Pride carnival whilst having more beers.

I will then head to Preston Park and party like its 1999.

I will then make my way to a Pride BBQ to eat the Makerel i caught in my first paragraph.

I will then head off to St James street and carry on boozing, and at apx 3 am I will head to Blackrock for the obligatory pride "rave"

At 10am on Sunday I will get home.

I am not a gay but will enjoy Pride day for what it is - FUN.

Anyone not wishing to have fun and be liberal and accepting for one day... could I suggest you move to a different town and stop bothering the rest of us with your boring antics......
Thats all.
