I used to love NYE's down Sherry's then, on the last night of 1976, I met my Mrs.

Tonight it's just the 2 of us at home, bored to tears watching different channels in different rooms. Can't be arsed to have a drink, will save it for the match tomorrow.

Oh, & Happy New Year all!

My wife went out last night, to work! I had a couple of alcoholic beverages as is the tradition and watched some sort of war film. I also had to stop my collie scratching the crap out of the door as she tried to get to the pyrotechnics being let off

Didn't go mad last night. Down the pub for us, went out at 8 and home at 00.30.

7 pints so a bit tiddly but not enough for a hangover. Result.

Haven't bothered for about a decade.

This. Not at all interested. Would have gone to sleep before midnight, but thought the fireworks would wake me up, so stayed watching TV until about 12:30.

Unfortunately I watched the new Die Hard movie - truely appalling.

The only NYE anyone in this generation needed to go out and celebrate was 14 years ago. I still look back and marvel that we got the 03:38, 5A from Patcham Village back to Preston Circus and it ran on time.
