Why SC stays for Sat

BBC reckon he wil be at Reading on Saturday (or wherever they are playing).

The Stadium and lack of money argument for Brighton managers is all well and good. But they all know the situation when they takeover. Considering this, why is it that we cannot keep hold of a manager for more than 18 months?:nono:

I honestly think DK paints a far rosier picture of the playing budget than what the reality is, Taylor hinted at it and I believe it will have played a part in Coppells decision.

nah they use us to get their names known again, example:

Get a team with no money playing good football and top of division/beating div1 teams and nearly avoiding the drop.

Would look good on any managers CV

The managers join us cos they need a job at the time. DK is very good it seems at picking the best of the bunch. They make a name for themselves with us and then move on to something 'bigger'. :nono: Any of us would do the same.

Sadly until we have Falmer this is going to keep on happening. At least it means we've been left in a good sound position which is good for the club and helps us attract the next manager who is down on his luck. We're still a short term attractive proposition. :)

Taylor used that as an excuse when he left.

He was after the assistant England manager's job after the World Cup and the bloke didn't stand down until after Hull had appointed him manager so he missed out. I have had this theory confirmed by someone at the club although when I said it, it was just something I had guessed at.

Taylor has turned down the Reading job, why? Big enough budget I would have thought.

Coppell knew in the summer exactly what he had to work with. He signed again for another year. He cannot use that as an excuse.

Leon Knight had interviews at QPR he chose to stay with us.

I still think there is a chance SC will stay

Hopefully, Steve will drag this out a bit and then stay with us just to get the critics on his side. Everyone will love him if he stays!

Stay Steve Please!:clap2:

Beacuse they all do feckin good jobs when they're here, that's why! As a result of this, they're bound to attract attention from so-called "bigger" clubs who can offer them things that we cannot.

In a perverse way, its quite an achievement to have so many managers taken  :smokin: :drink:

I think he is waiting to see the reaction of the fans on Saturday. Come on everybody, get your 'Please dont go Steve' flags made ready in time. Give him a massive reception, let him see that WE really want him to stay.
There is still a chance. Keep the faith.
