It's because he makes his daughter carry him round on her shoulders after every home game - and they call Gus an egomaniac . . .

He's got a touch of Poyet about his attitude. Bit disrespecful to Peterborough when interviewed earlier this season (on Football League Show I think) saying "I don't intend being here for years"

To be fair to Ferguson, his record in League 1 and 2 with Peterborough is much more impressive. I'm just not convinced that he can manage well at a Championship level, let alone managing a club up to the Premier League.

Lest we forget that Peterborough, who were dead in the water earlier in the season, were only relegated due to a poor decision from a bit of Palace diving in the end. If we do appoint him he would hopefully come with the "hate Palace" gene pre-installed.

He has probably hit the ceiling with Peterborough (to coin a Gus phrase!) tbf the best they could ever be is a top div 1/bottom third championship club (he did keep them up last season).

Our ceiling is lower mid table Prem.

Is he the ideal candidate? Maybe not, but he's not a bad a choice as some would make out. Our forward line would certinaly be utilised to the fullest!!

The wife beating charge is not good and a big negative.

*cough* first pick of United's young players helped soften the blow.

Remember when he was sacked by Preston and immediately the two United players on loan there were recalled?

Now that Taggart has moved upstairs I can't see Moyes doing us any favours of a similar nature.

He may be good at this level, I don't know. Nor does anyone else.

Appointing him will do nothing to whet the appetites of Albion fans nor sell those remaining season tickets.

I also think Bloom likes having a 'name' and Ferguson (Jnr) is not one of those.

All of a sudden Alex Ferguson will suddenly have zero influence at United? Sure.
