Why is there no thread slagging off Murray?

I've no doubt at all that Murray is going to be a top player for us, so not at all concerned about the odd miss while he settles in.

My [worthless] advice to him would be to put his foot through it occasionally, and not always try the delicate placed finish. [As he did against Cheltenham, to great effect].

I don't slag him off, a) Because I think he's good, & b) I support Brighton & slagging off my own players has never really appealed to me.

Too clever? The big two chances in the second half were shot straight at the keeper.
In both cases, he created sitters all by himself and with just the keeper to beat tried to curl it tidily with his instep. In hindsight, he should have just hammered the ball into the roof of the net rather than worrying too much about looking composed. And his header was shocking.

That said, he looks like he could be class when he starts to finish off these chances. On another day, he could have scored four or five. Lets hope that's what happens at Carlisle and Walsall.

Young player, making a step up and learning the game. He makes the chances, that is the most difficult bit isn't it?His arrival has made me the most excited I've been about an Albion forward line for over a decade, you won't catch me slagging him off even if he does miss more than he scores.....at the moment.

He'll get you a goal, but you have to let him squander three or four solid gold chances first.

But the guy is creating more chances in one game than the other front men (bar Forster) were able to create in a month - so that's not an issue.

B0ll0cks. The first was a better chance, but for the second, the keeper was quickly off his line and stuck out an arm - it was a top save.

This guy has scored four goals in seven matches - and as everyone agrees, could have had many more. He's a top signing who has fitted straight in and who must terrify opposition defences playing alongside Forster.

Of course it would have been good if he'd tucked away one of the chances he created last night, but he has done before - and he will do in the future.

He's a very, very exciting prospect and the sort of player who will get supporters back to the Withdean if he carries on like this.

As an aside, as John Byrne has been mentioned, and as he's still good mates with Wilkins, why doesn't he get him in for a couple of sessions with our strikers, just to go through things like this? We've got a goalkeeping coach, Wilkins can deal with the midfield, Chapman the defence, why not get specialist striker help?

JB is still a quality striker, as witnessed on a Thursday night playing 5-a-side @ the KA

I think he holds the ball up very well and was highly impressed with him last night. If he keeps getting the chances he will average 1 a game at least.
Compare him to the players that left Revell, tried hard but Murray will score many more then revell would have.

My view of the header was from the east stand was heading in but the spin took it away, was unlucky but should really have been finished.

We should also remember that he's still quite young. Fozzie has ten years on him so he can only get better.
