Why is the Ticket Office telling me it is CLOSED?

Good to see that LOYAL SUPPORTERS are being given priority for rotten service.

Why not add this to the 'ask the club' to make them aware of what they could be losing out on

What is the point I asked what our break even attendance figure was but Insider has chosen to ignore it. Is it such a closely guarded secret that we must not be told or made aware of? Why? Is it in case intelligent people do calculations?

I spoke to Ed at the game and pointed out that I tried for an hour to get through to get a couple of Rotherham tickets this morning.
I got an engaged tone each time until 11.11 when I went into a queue for approx 5 or 6 minutes when I finally got my tickets.
At no time did I hear a message saying the ticket office was closed.

You didn't.

I did. Four times.

As Roz has already said, I wasn't trying to buy a ticket for the Port Vale game - I managed to do that through the online booking system at midnight on Friday. The interesting thing was that when I arrived at Withdean to pick it up, I found myself in the queue standing next to a man who was very keen to see the game, but had rung up on Saturday morning to get the same message I had heard - the Ticket Office was closed.

I don't know whether he was let in for the match or turned away. In my opinion, he deserved to get in.

By the sound of it throwing staff at the problem might not work as the phone lines are limited.

If this isn't the case, would the club consider having volunteers man the phones? If you sold four tickets it is like a £100 donation to the club.

p.s. this would never of happened in Ron Pavey's era . He knew how to organise things at the Goldstone.

Bollocks

My dad once had a huge argument with him outside the Goldstone shop after attempting to return a warped copy of The Goldstone Rap.

Wanted to take the boy today, so, family stand it would be. Online sales don't work for these, phone the ticket office, this I did.
After many engaged tones, I get a ringing tone, then a message thanking me for my custom- you're in a queue etc... this was repeated a fair few times, 10mins later I hang up.
Now I don't know the availability of these tickets, so I'm not going to travel to Brighton on a whim, alas, we didn't go.
His Withdean debut will have to wait.
Bums on seats is the regular chant, but they don't make it easy, do they.
Wasn't going to mention this, but it seems a bone of contention today.
I hope this is read by the club, Mr Camilin?

But why post the gripe on here? Why not let Ian Green or Kevin Keehan know and get them to change the message? What can NSC do about it?

If Dick Knight considers NSC sentiment when it comes to managerial hire and fire decisions, then just maybe we can also help people get to games, ya think? It's a warm and cuddly thought, I know.

When me and her in the skirt want tickets for anything, if its a concert, football, or even where i live sometimes rugby at the millenium stadium !! i always apply in plenty of time, this is the same for all the brighton games, and in all honesty ive never had a problem getting tickets, and if there is a hitch of some sort, theres still plenty of time to sort it out.

LEAVE IT LATE

ACCEPT THE FATE !! :lolol:

The ticket office staff do a great job but they are only really geared up for a 4th divsion football team, which is where we was when we first started playing at withdean.

Is there going to be a ticket office at falmer of just pay at the turnstiles?

Ticket office and pay at stations and retail outlets. Part of the planning permission is that there won't be pay on the gate because travel by public transport is still going to be part of the ticket.

Still the trains going eastwards should have lots of room at Falmer.

I don't disagree with that.

The problem is that the Club are missing out on income.

And the Club have put a considerable effort into letting people know that you CAN leave it late.

but who is the loser ? the club for the loss of revenue or the individual who wants to see the game ? (or concert, whatever) my only point is, if you really want to see something, you make great efforts to get a ticket, for example, i am a massive Rolling Stones fan and throughout the years i have never gotton to see them live, (many good reasons why) but late in 05 it was announced that they would be playing the Millenium stadium (local to me) in August 06, so on Jan 9th last year iwas sat here at 9.00am waiting for the tickets to go on public sale, and i got the 2 tickets i wanted, we went on August 29th last year and it was brilliant, my only point is i got what I wanted because i went out of my way to get it..........many debates to this subject im sure, but my moral is, if you want a ticket for something, go out of your way to make sure you get it, invariably you will get what you want......(STH wanting West ham away tickets exempt from that comment :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: )

If you book online and then collect at Withdean.

Not everyone has the internet, even if one fan that can't book on-line gets a ticket its better than none.
