It amuses me, and sometimes angers me that people here, think that their knowledge of players is somehow better than Gus, or in fact, any manager who has played the game .
Gus knows(and now really understands) the problems of managing a League One side with a restrictive budget. He has said that the problem is that most of the clubs in this League are after the same players...and although working with the 'legend' that IS Gus Poyet, is an attractive proposition, it does mostly come down to wages, and that is still our big stumbling block until we get to Falmer.
Gus also said that his, and Tannos, contacts in S America might unearth a couple of good signings which arnt on anyone else's radar.....this is what has happened.

Does anyone here think that Gus would take this sort of gamble if he wasnt sure about the kids ? He may have unearthed a couple of gems...lets just wait until they have at least kicked a ball in anger ,shall we?
