I've just had a look at the people on question time who appeared the most, I can only find old figures, but it appears

Nigel Farage - 2000-2019 - 1.8 times per year
Ken Clarke - 1982-2013 - 1.6 time per year
Menzies Campbell - 1987-2013 - 1.6 times per year
Charles Kennedy - 1983-2015 - 1.4 times a year
Harriet Harman - 1981-2015 - 1.3 times per year
FFS. What do you normally do on a Thursday evening? Pop on a DVD of Steve Davis talking about his favourite carpet samples?*

Whether people like it or not Farage appeals to millions of waifs and strays who feel rightly or wrongly they have no political voice is this country

When you have the choice of a multi millionaire with sunak or a fella who with a 20 point lead and a shu in and a sir, suit and lawyer who will win by default some people protest

Brexit was a protest vote no one farage, cameron and johnson saw that one coming

Leave it to the populace and they will make their own minds up

And whether you like it or not farage is box office for many people

And it appears he has been on (including tonight) three times since these figures were collected (I'm assuming the other serious politicians on that list, as voted by the electorate) haven't appeared since.

Why do you think that would be ?

Why do they all leave midway through some episodes? Cowards who can’t face the music  .

I did ask for Farage supporters to explain why he has appeared on Question Time more than any other individual in the history of Question Time - the floor is yours
I’m not a Farage supporter but I think he brings a bit of entertainment and controversy beyond the views of the typical main party politicians and that makes the show more interesting (to some). Of course he can afford to be controversial because he’s not going to be elected.

I became tired of QT some time ago when Bruce allowed it to became a shouting match, such that you couldn’t hear a lot of the responses.

Quite.

Any Questions on R4 on Friday evenings is a far better take on the same idea.

The panelists give each other time time to talk and to respond. And it’s much more effectively chaired.

I like that, but mainly the section without a studio audience. Because they’re always so biased on one particular set of views, so narrow. Frantic clapping.

On the Border
The public gets what the public wants

But I want nothing this society's got

You choose your leaders and place your trust
As their lies wash you down and their promises rust
You'll see kidney machines replaced by rockets and guns
And the public wants what the public gets
But I don't get what this society wants

From 44 years ago, some things never change

Perhaps it's because he was instrumental in persuading Cameron to offer the electorate of this country a long awaited referendum on membership of the EU? I think he'll go down in history as a very important political campaigner who changed the future course of the UK. Thanks for the heads up, I'll look forward to watching 🇬🇧
He was indeed influential in changing to future course of the UK. I presume from the tone of your post you think that is a good thing. Plenty of people - probably the majority - would disagree. Personally I think it is the most idiotic thing this country has ever done, and all because of one man’s ignorant and ill-informed prejudices.

But he really Is an odious “populist”
Sorry, but in a democracy, don't we want our representatives to have views and policies which are popular with the majority of voters - I mean, that's what populist means isn't it?
(odious, we don't want, of course).
