Please can I put a word in for the Picture House in Uckfield. A small but perfectly formed little cinema - it has 3 screens and all mod cons though.
Indeed they do! Had There Will Be Blood and No Country For Old Men lately..

The Cineworld Unlimited pass is absolutely brilliant. I can't remember the last time I went to the Odeon or Duke Of Yorks. Shame the marina Cineworld is old and manky but the seats are comfortable enough (drinks holders by the legs...great move, Cineworld) and it does the job.
Agreed the Cineworld at Crawley is stonking and I pop up there occasionally.

We got refused entry into the Marina because all the kids had a bag of sweets we had bought in Asda. Not allowed to eat your own sweets. You have to buy Cineworld's at about £2.00 per 100g. Massive con.

The pictures of the Dome dont look much different to when it ws known as the Flea Pit in the 60s. It was always the poor relations of the cinemas in Worthing just behind the Rivoli and well behind the Plaza and Odeon. They showed the films that the Odeon and Plaza wouldnt.
It was Sunday afternoons to the pictures then down to the Music Centre opposite the Dragoon in Market St.

It is filthy dirty, expensive and you cannot take your own refreshments in with you.
Cinema's have to split box office 45-55 with the distributors in favour of the distributor. Now if you take in cost of the building, staff, power etc... you can see why they charge so much on food. I agree it is a rip off but do what I do, just don't buy it.

Brain dead MUG SHEEP
I don't see why people feel the need to sit there and fill their FACES at the cinema anyway. Theres nothing more annoying than some gimp rustling and chomping away behind you or next to you while you're watching a film. Its 2 hours out of your life ffs. Either have something to eat before you go IN, or wait until you come OUT. Can't you just watch a film for a couple of hours without having to sit there slowly MASTICATING like a slack-jawed bovine ? It must be an american thing we've adopted here, being as they can't go twenty minutes without having to eat something.
