Why Does No One Trust The Club

Please correct me if I am wrong, but why it is people think the board have an evil underlying plan about Falmer. Why can they not be trusted?.

Why would a man who came in saved this club have an evil plan?

They said work starts in December. Even the contractor who is building the site said work will start in December, so why does no one trust what they say?

If by the middle of next year nothing has started, then you have the right to ask what's going on, but please keep the bloody faith off the field and on the field. And if by the middle of next year nothing has started I'm completely wrong.

Because we live in an age when no-one or nothing is a victim of circumstance; it is an age of blame.

If something is not as we want it to be, and is not delivered exactly when we want it, then someone is automatically to blame and we have the right to criticise...criticise...and criticise... Reasons, evidence and circumstances do not matter, someone has to be at fault.

You will recall the board forgetting something small in in the falmer application over 2 years ago which set us back a year, and now this latest setback.:glare:

Was that the board? I thought it was someone in John Prescott's department who worded the permission document badly and left a loophole for LDC to appeal.

I'm sure most of us don't think like that at all, personally I'm just fed up of arguing the toss with idiots who see conspiracies where there aren't any.

So you don't really know, but you are prepared to blame the board for us having to wait 12-13 years for Falmer?

That's like someone who doesn't like you blaming you for drinking their pint, when they don't even know if you were in the pub!

From what I can see you WANT the board to be at fault, even if you don't KNOW that they are.

No. It was an error by a civil servant who said in the wording of the original letter of consent that the stadium was "within the built-up area of Brighton Hove" - which it isn't. LDC siezed on this immediately, and the lawyers got another 2 years worth of milage out of this sorry saga.

The error had NOTHING to do with the club.

The first "approval" letter from HMG in late 2005 contended that all four applications (which is what the stadium needs) fell with the B&H City boundary. This is not the case (ie an error of fact so could be challenged in law) and resulted in the govt having to invite further representations from interested parties and completely reconsider the application(s).

If you read this from above that will exsplain numpty,so anyway where did you come from or is it follow the leader?:D

I have read the whole thread, and indeed I have previously contributed to it, I was just wondering what your other inferred cock-ups (the civil servant map reading fiasco excepted) were. I don't need an itemised list, but an example would be nice.
