Why does it say SOLD OUT for the Sunderland game on the website AGAIN?

Saying SOLD OUT instead of TICKETS NOT AVAILABLE YET makes people think it is sold out, so they don't bother to try for tickets, meaning a lower crowd and less money for the club.

I just don't understand, what is so difficult about this? Why are the club so bad at it? Surely enough people must have said this for them to take notice, it's been mentioned on here so many times. Plenty of Albion fans don't spend their lives on here so wont know about this, and will quickly log on, see it is sold out and think they've missed their chance. There is no reason or excuse for this from the club, it is just incompetence. Surely it would take some IT bod 10 seconds to change it?

I totally agree with you commander !! This is my one frustration with the new system. Friend of mine saw the attendance was low for the gillingham and thought hey ho he will try and take his son to his first ever Albion match as very likely to get a ticket for Sunderland game

. Logs on the website SOLD OUT

He happened to be chatting to me yesterday and I explained to him the system with how they sort the tickets . He was happy that he still might get a ticket but did say if he hadnt have spoken to me he wouldnt have even bothered trying again as the website clearly said SOLD OUT .

Come on please sort this minor problem out before we totally lose any chance of getting a sell out crowd and introducing potential new fans to the Amex.

He wasnt bothered with the ticket price , his attitude was a small price to pay to be able to actually get in the place and watch a game !!

Why cant they change the red box to " ON SALE TO SEASON TICKET HOLDERS UNTIL SAID DATE " Please log back on from x y z date if non STH

It is completely mad!!!! Can't believe they haven't sorted this out yet. Almost suggests they don't think it's a problem!

Er, thanks.

I managed to buy mine about 15minutes ago by clicking on 'Add my reserved seats'

I also added £30 on my season ticket to feed my filthy Steak Pie addiction

Don't get me wrong, I'm not concerned about me not getting a ticket because I know how it works, but the more floating fan will look at the website, see it says sold out and so wont bother again. It's ridiculous.

Sunderland - Sold out?

It says so on the ticket site.

Now, I know the reason why, as I read this board when you were told about this for the Friendlies.

However, had my mate not mentioned this to me, he would have assumed there are no tickets left and not come back.

You said last time it would be sorted. With the current pricing and the sold out message, I think all the fans might be able to view from a DFS sofa!

Got mine and my son's via the 'add my reserved seats' option. Another £50 fell out of my account. This is getting dear!

I see what you mean, maybe they will change it. They have a job to do to sell a good amount of tickets at the prices they have set.

Also, Just a little thing about the loyalty points scoring system.

Today I buy a Sunderland ticket to watch a Carling Cup game at The AMEX against what will most likely be a reserve Premier League team. Granted we will get to see Titus Bramble and Connor Wickham = 20 loyalty points

Wednesday we travel to cardiff, having to take a day off work, make a 9 hour round trip, pay £5 to get into Wales, to a match not many Brighton fans will go and watch = 10 loyalty points

Seems a little unfair

There are instructions for buying these tickets on the website.

Buying Online

The easiest and quickest way to purchase is online, season ticket holders should do this by logging on and using the ADD MY RESERVED SEATS function.

Simply click the ADD MY RESERVED SEATS tab at the top. This will display your reserved season ticket seat along with anyone else you have in your friends and family list who is eligible.

NB: Do not click the HOME GAMES tab, as this will display a message of sold out, as tickets are not on general sale.

I think the point is why does it say Sold Out and not something like Tickets Not On Sale Yet?

Agreed. It's misleading for non STH's. They will just think it is sold out and not bother trying to get any tickets at a later date.

Loyalty points are supposed to give fans prioity for away matches arn't they. Therefore (now the STH and 1901 have had their wad) surely away fans should at the very least get equal points for away matches as home matches.

Depends which way you look at it. If it was a shop loyatly card, why would they give you more points for buying stuff from somewhere else? They are rewarding people for giving the club money, not for travelling a long way and supporting the team. And although it's a shame, that's the way it needs to be.

Yeah, again, I'm not saying I don't know how to get tickets, or you don't know how to get tickets, but these football fans who live in Sussex and aren't really Albion fans but want to go because there is a Premier League team coming to town will go onto the website, see it's sold out and think they've missed their chance. We cannot afford to be turning away money and potential new fans for no reason if we want to keep filling the Amex.

The newer fans won't try until the tickets go on general sale and that message will be removed by then (hopefully) I agree it's not ideal and should say something like 'Season ticket holders only at present.'
