Apparantly he made going down gestures to the North Stand in a 4-4 draw against us at the Goldstone v Leyton O.

Personally I only saw Carl Griffiths making said gestures along with gun slinging gestures but others reckon they saw McGleish doing something.

High up on the South Downs.
Lee Hodges made gestures and McGleish somersaulted - didn't notice Griffiths but it's the sort of thing he'd do. The North Stand was a cauldron of passion in those dark days.

Get over it!

"We hate him because he said we were going down 15 seasons ago" Reason enough to be prats towards him for the next 15 years...pathetic!

To us he is a legend, and yesterday’s goal and celebration only added to that legend.

Piss off. Why should we get over it? Players and managers are often booed for as long as that and for less logical reasons. It wasn't what McGleish did, it was the timing. At a time when Brighton were going downhill quickly he wound up the fans, knowing full well what he was doing, and that could have got us thrown out of the league, if your Chairman had his way. McGleish deserves all the abuse he gets.
