Why do some of us refer to palace as that club up the road when they clearly not?

Sorry, I've been out. Can somebody give me a rundown of what has happened?

Boy comes on NSC for first time, starts a pety thread about a derby with palace, someone mentions being Jamie'd. It carries on to an through between various members. Think he wrestled his mum at some point..............but basically asking to meet people before game Tuesday 'non violently'

Lansdowne Place, Hove
are they really really hard. Good for them I am a women anyway so if they hit me that really says a lot about them.

Don't know many women that refer to others as 'pussys', but there you go.
They're known for being exceptionally HARD in the Bulldog, yeah...

Pretty silly original comment, but don't let the meanies put you off future A23 related posts.

Anyhow, 'up the road' is a term used for considerable distances sometimes. Up north they sometimes refer to London as the place 'down the road' - being, I presume, the M1.
