Will be extremely painful to watch Burn play against Brighton this weekend... a win would ease a lot of the pain though.

I will quite enjoy watching him, the way it works is Dunk will play his best game for two years, we keep a clean sheet, Lamptey nutmegs Burn to score our 1-0 winning goal ...

One of the first things Potter did when he arrived was to bring in Adam Webster to make sure he had an alternative to the Dunk'n'Duffy set up. Believe it or not, the selling of BDB has contributed to our recent woes - we're short of cover at CB. We now have four players to cover three positions, and sometimes only two of the four have been available - it was definately a risky gamble selling one fifth of our CB options.
Selling Burn won't see us relegated this season; it may well, however, cost us our coveted top ten position.

The difference in prize money between 8th and 12th is about £14m - so if we sold Burn to make a bit of dosh it seems very short-sighted.

Now and again the club will make a bad decision, it happens, it’s inevitable. This one was a shocker. I honestly think we were just too nice, there is no room for sentiment in the EPL. There was no time to bring in a replacement and this should have been professionally and politely explained to BDB and Newcastle should have been told to just **** off.
