[Albion] Why did Andrew Crofts stay?

Obviously pleased for him, being promoted to first team coach.

Did Potter not want him to join him at Chelsea?

Did Crofts say no when Bruno said yes?

Did Crofts decide to stay out of loyalty?

Why would he ? He helped out with the first team but his main job was the U23s head coach.

I don't know for sure but I doubt Potter offered him a move - the U21 coach isn't really part of the senior coach's team.

Sorry missed this, has he been promoted then to 1st team coach?

If so more practicality than rewarding loyalty.

He knows the workings of the club, and clearly his command of English will be the best in the dugout.

IMHO it’s a good move, and he clearly will be an integral part of hitting the ground running at Anfield.

Maybe I should make a breaking news thread...

He wasnt really part of Potter's coaching set up though? He was the u21s coach.

He was part of the first team training set up at times according to Barber

Paul Barber has often said the same coaching methods went throughout the squads, so youths promoted to the first team squad knew how it worked, so Croftsy would have worked with Potter to learn his methods.
Croftsy will also be able to talk to RDZ to explain what has been coached before, so he knows the starting point for his methods.

Crofts staying, and now being added to the 1st. team coaching squad seems to me to be an excellent case of continuity and progression.

Now for a thread about 'Why did Doris the tea lady stay?'
