Why arnt they gritting the bus routes ?

I know that in Worthing the council have had to cut back on spending in just about every area to pay for all of the free OAP bus passes, as they've been sold short by central government over it. I assume that would include any money on staff and gritt for clearing and making safe the pavements

Worthing Council aren't responsible for gritting the roads. That's West Sussex County Council's job (and budget).

Bring back coal fires & Southdown Bus Company.Pavements were never slippy unless you wanted them to be.Miserable old g1ts tipping ash on our slides and bus conductors often carried newspaper parcels of ash to chuck around bus stops.Exhaust fumes from the Malta-reject buses,& leaking fuel/oil would melt snow & ice within days.Mmmmmmm,global warming,bring it back
