Why aren't the stewards telling those fans at Old Trafford to sit down?

Behind the goal there's about 4,000 people standing from the front to the back of the stand and the stewards are doing nothing about it.

Maybe the ones at Withdean should take note.

So if these mythical fines and reduced allocations are ever used they are going to take the same action against us for having less than 100 people standing as Man Utd who regularly have thousands.

Just upholding the ground regulations as you well know! Don't have a go at someone/group of people doing their jobs! ask the F.A. and League association who HAD to change the League groud regs following the Taylor report remember why that happened too!

Fences, the criminal incompetence of the South Yorkshire Police and a culture of regarding fans as a public order issue mainly.

And the fact
A. Not enough Stewards were employed per % of crowd
B. Gates locked when should have been open as per above
C. TOO MANY PEOPLE FOR THE AREA OF THE STAND

I grew up on the east terraces of the Goldstone, I DISAGREE with the all seater stadia we have in this country BUT regulations are there for a reason.

All the time i am employed by the club I am employed to uphold these regulations and i will do my job. :albion2:

Also a badly designed computer system played it's part.

The fire brigade were unable to get there quickly enough with cutting gear because of a system that required an address.

The policeman calling was unable to supply an address, only the name of the ground.

No fault of the actual fire brigade I may add.

No? why didn't any of the crew know where one of the citys biggest possible fire risks was and the fastest way to get to ground?

Why didn't the policeman know the address of the ground?

Incompotence of the highest degree from the police and short sighted by the fire brigade

absolute bollocks!!!!

You need to take into account the situation ...telling people to sit down just after we have scored is silly...and you knoe it!!!!!

I heard from 'an authority', that BHAFC stewards had actually won a couple of AWARDS for being best, or some rubbish.

There's no bloody way, surely?

I stood for the whole match at Selhurst, and not one steward told ME to sit down!
That would have been brilliant of course, if we hadn't gone down 5-0 with football genius Cullip marshalling our defence

Still, got to give credit to those Crapstool Polish stewards

East Terraces huh? So you must have got the stewards job because you were so good at MOANING.
Bloody East lot were always giving our players stick, especially Tiger Tony Towner.

Now you are keeping the vocal chords tuned by whinging at the South Stand supporters, who never moan.

Typical  You should take a leaf out of the selhurst lot, they let us get on with it, just like Cullip let Andrew Johnson.

Whoever was answering the phone was unable to process it because the system required an address. I presume the actual fire crew would have been able to get their quickly, but it didn't happen like that.

It's a quite a famous case of a badly implemented computer system.

Not the fault of the fireman I understand.

I still think that if that part of the ground had been all seater then the same thing would have happened.

Perhaps the stewards were too busy watching Utd give Arsenal a lesson in football to give a rat's arse.

Dave we don't tell people to sit down straight after a goal and you bloody well know that! you have been around long enough to almost know the timings we aim to stick to but that isn't the point you buy a seated ticket to sit the ground regs are on the back of the ticket so no excuses!

As maybe but the telephone operator should have just put the call through to all the fire stations and see which crews turned up in time to actually save some lives!

Not the firemen ok but a catalogue of F**K ups from the ground to the police to the fire brigade computer etc
