But only a fraction of those will be logged in. Of the others, is there any way of estimating the proportion who are members but not logged in (maybe by logging the frequencies of the same IP addresses?)

Not sure what you're asking.

Those numbers come from Google Analytics, which won't have visibility of whether someone is a logged in user, a not-logged in member or a never-registered guest and I'm not sure why I'd care to want to spend any time at all on it.

I don't tend to look at NSC's analytics from one month to the next.
