Why all the negativity?

All I can see are threads with Knight Out, McGhee out, McCammon is crap etc. Why all the negativity?

We have lost five in a row and not played great. However how many of those games could have been different.

Stoke (a) - Two penalties, both wrong and one not given to us.
Plymouth (a) - Goal disallowed, dodgy penalty and free kick both leading to goals.
Wigan (h) - Wigan were far better side but their first goal was offside when Ellington controlled the ball to Bullard. We would probably have lost anyway but who knows.
Reading (h) - Handball goal and we were denied a penalty.
Coventry (a) - Probably the worst penalty decision I have ever seen. Never before have I seen a referee give a penalty when no player, staff member of fan appeals.

This run of luck must come to an end. Even if we do get relegated Mark McGhee should be given his contract extension, Dick Knight will lead us to Falmer and Mark McCammon will score thirty goals next season.

I am with you, Finchley.

Imagine this scenario - We stay up, Palace & Pompey go down and the green light is given for Falmer. Best season ever?

I'll be negative because it seems like a lot of things seem to be going against us at the moment. We were going into a good run of form up until Kuipers was injured (who seemed to be in the form of his life) and since then we've been steadily declining and now we sit dangerously close to the bottom three. Referees keep giving dodgy penalites against us, our best defender has been ruled out for 9 months for an inconspicuous looking injury, Chippy got sent off for being a twat, we can't afford to loan any decent players, 4 players have had to retire this season... the list goes on. I used to enjoy the so-called rollercoaster that is bring an albion fan but this season is not so good.

I'm a negative person. It's why i am so popular with the ladies. They love it when you say that everything is shit and that humans are crap and that animals eat their own babies.
They also like talk about WWE wrestling, zombie films and how you once had to knock your own mother out for her own good.

I completely disagree, I think this season has been brilliant, the guts we've shown keeping our heads just above water I think matches the efforts of any Brighton team in history.

Even the defeat on Saturday gave me one of the highlights of the season with the team bonding with the fans after the final whistle. Rarely did I feel any level of emotion like that last season, except in the play-offs.

Because we are shit, have a bad run-in and are a shadow of the side (with the same players bar Kuipers and Carpenter) that looked awesome at Spurs not so long ago

Christ, you're easily pleased LI :nono:

Yet another defeat and you're all bleary eyed about a poxy huddle......I'd rather they get a point or three and ignored us

Well that's all very nice but the bonding didn't change the fact that we are staring relegation in the face after looking relatively safe not more than a month ago.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. If you couldn't appreciate the emotion of Saturday, that's too bad - it's the kind of stuff that keeps dragging me back to games when there is a lot of other things I could be doing with my family on Saturday!

Oh surely not. I haven't trawled through many threads, but PLEASE tell me no-one is calling for MM's head.

That would be absolute lunacy of the highest order.

You make your own luck, and let's face it, it's not really surprising that some is going against us given some of the daylight robbery victories we enjoyed earlier in the season.

It's been a gargantuan(?) effort, but I fear for us at the moment.
