The most curious thing..
Worthington should be a shoe in for this.

Vicente may have been skilfull but that is not nearly enough on its own (unless sicknotes count double).

There are far too many kids on this board with no sense of heritage.

I'm 45, so 13 when I saw almost every game Worthington played for the Albion. I voted for Vicente, because he made me feel 13 again, such was the level of excitement generated when word went round the ground that he was playing.

As a pensioner, my definition of flair doesn't mean a drunk who can't keep his trousers on.

I'm old enough to've seen them both & Frank was very, very good but Vicente could do everything he did without breaking sweat & more. He was just a better player

There's only one Frank Worthington
As much as I loved Vicente, can't let my boyhood hero down
He was the master of the volley, the half-volley, the body swerve, the jink, the thunderbolt
He was the ultimate gunslinger, carefree on the pitch
Just give the ball to Worthington and their is your admission fee worth it straight away
When first saw him play he looked like he'd just come out of prison after a 20 year stretch, unshaven, flowing hair and a snarl on his face
Shirt always out and socks down
If Le Tissier had played for Brighton only he may have given Worthington a run for his money
There's only one Frank Worthington

Congratulations to Vicente, but he doesn't hold a candle to Worthington in the flair stakes.

Still no matter, both good players.

Vicente managed to piss off the JEC Poyet, probably partly because he was a better player than he was.
People also used to spell his name wrong constantly which is always funny.

My Flair choices in the original noiminations thread were:
1. Vicente

seen nothing since to change my mind.

Really need to get off tapatalk and log on normally to vote for Vicente, but it doesn't seem worth the hassle.

I don't think anyone is arguing that Vicente was the better player.

But FLAIR goes far beyond that. Frank only had to have a sniff of snatch and he was like a rat up a drainpipe.

This isn't about relative skill.

It's about FLAIR

In which case Frank wins hands down.
