Without doubt it has to be Peter and the Test Tube Babies, still rocking and falling over drunk after all these years, true punks, never sold out, class:dance:

They never sold out because they were shit :lolol:

Just received through the post my latest ebay purchase.

The second LP from Brighton's greatest band The Depressions. By this second album released in 1978 they were known as the DP's.

Only given it one spin but sounds a bit more sophisticated than their first effort ( but that wouldn't be hard).

They never come anywhere near Brighton though. I spoke to Mark Chadwick about it and he said the band would love to play closer to home but they have no say in the matter

So, as luck would have it, after the gig last night I found myself drinking in the same watering hole as the band.

Selflessly, I took it upon myself to trap dreadlock-haired bassist Jeremy Cunningham in the corner and ask him on behalf of NSC why the Levellers never play Brighton. His official answer, which I have permission to quote here:

"It's a f***ing nightmare, because all our mates always want free tickets."

He also said actually they do play there every 5 years or so...

Trufflehound: stalking the stars - because NSC has a right to know.
