Yep, got train tickets a week ago. £52 return from London. First trip up there since Peter Taylor was their gaffer.

(Cheers again, buddy.)

Really looking forward to this one already. Beer, sun (hopefully), good company (resist joke at Turkey's expense) and footy...+ trois point hopefully.

About 20 minutes away if you leave the train station (House of Fraser is in front of you over the road) and turn right , walk down to the traffic lights junction and turn right into Anlaby Road. If you leave the station and turn left (going past St Stephens shopping mall and Tesco) following the blue signs to the KC it is the long way round and takes roughly 30 minutes.

WRONG :p

You now just walk through St. Stephens shopping centre and come out the Tesco end, walk up to the road and cross on to the other side, the first road then leads to the KC, takes 5 minutes

5 mins - thats a decent walking pace given its about 1.5k from the station to the KC.

Pity they never put a station on the line that runs past the back of the stadium, as it could be even closer than Falmer is to The Amex.

I like the KC, it's ok (not as plush as the Amex of course) with excellent parking facilities on site and a choice of pubs and food outlets close by, although a rapid departure is required at the final whistle to avoid delays. Being the first game of the season I would hope the pitch will be be much better than last time when the egg chasers and winter weather had made a right mess of it.

It has to take 15 minutes from the train station itself , the only difference by going up Anlaby Road is that you have to walk around to the away end which would the 20 minutes I quoted. You didn't include the time getting through St Stephens which will be full of spotty chavs on a Saturday out for a bit of shoplifting.
