Delighted for him.

I was gutted when he left despite getting, what seemed at the time, a good price. Great work rate, strong, linked up well and chipped in with some goals. Also seemed a top bloke. Perhaps, one of them unfashionable, less 'gifted' players but who inspires you with their commitment for the team.

Anyway back to the thread, I think he's more suited to a smaller club but I don't think it would be totally inconceivable to see him with a lower-end Championship side. I think Coventry were linked while he was with us.

He's not though. Barnes is a far more techincally gifted player and works almost as hard. Barnes will player at a higher level than Revell will.

Well, others may disagree with you but I agree 100%. Revell was a good bit of business, I think we made over £140k on him, but that was before the bloom era, I doubt we would have sold him if Tony had been around at the time.

I don't think there is much to choose between Revell and Barnes in terms of current value to the team, and in any case they are very different players.

I know who is is far more likely to add value in the next 2 or 3 seasons though.
