It was alleged on here, I think, that he backed Dean Hammond and George O Callaghan against the club which made his positon as manager of the team impossible.

Why does wanting to try and keep your best players make your position untenable?

The club said the reasons for the change were that Wilkins didn't have the experience to get us up, and Adams does. If that's not the real reason I'd like them to tell us so, because otherwise it becomes difficult to entirely believe other things they say, for instance over a new stadium I hear we're eventually building.

I don't recall that being the reason given for Wilkins' dismissal, and I also do not recall any specific reasions being given. Plenty of guesses and speculation on NSC of course! I have therefore assumed that the reasons were confidential.

I would love to know but don't think we have a right to know.

That must have been music to your ears!

However, we were not shit. Some bits of it were, but there were many positives and plenty of good play.

Not really music to my ears - as a brighton fan it is not good to keeping getting draws and losses at home

i was only repeating what i was told - i cannot give an opinion on yesterdays game as i wasn't there

Wilkins did no wrong, he was learning as a manager so made mistakes and may of been crap in man management areas...but with time he would've gotten better.

Rushing Adams back was a mistake on Dicks behalf, once he's had his moment of glory at the first Falmer game I want him to step aside as a Chairman and let someone else take over.

OK, as a Brighton fan, I'm sure it wasn't music to your ears.

As a fierce critic of DK, I bet it was.

Don't go on one person's opinion.

The game was not shit at all. A couple of moments were that led to us drawing a game we deserved to have won. The performance overall was a good one and, apart from Man City, the best at home this season.

But you don't KNOW why he was sacked and you don't KNOW that he would have got better.

Unlike some, I was a great fan of DW as a player, was delighted when he got the manager's job, and had no problems with him continuing to be manager.

However, I firmly believe that the board would not have sacked him for fun or simply to upset his fans. There must have been compelling reasons for them to do so.

It would also have been the board that sacked him, not just DK on his own. Are you suggesting that the whole board resigns on the day after we move into Falmer, because they have made such a poor job of running the club?

There is really no need to be aggresive - as i said i can't comment i wasn't there - the persons opinion i was given happens to be related to someone at the club that is all

I have an idea - perhaps if when people leave this club they were able to speak then it would save all the unecessary confusion

Sorry I didn't mean to be aggresive but in your post you used one person's opinion to back up an anti-MA stance. On the evidence of yesterday alone it was, in my opinion, unjustified.

we dont KNOW that Adams will be the same legend a 2nd time around, face facts he was brought back in a rush to get us into the Championship and its falling flat right now.

Absolutely right, it might have saved you, me and many others thousands of posts on the subject on NSC!

But, in any business, I would consider it normal for everything in matters of employment affairs and disputes to remain confidential unless both parties agree otherwise.

I didn't think he was a legend first time and of course I don't know if he'll repeat the achievement.

You say 'face facts' but I also don't know if he was brought back in a rush and I won't know if it's 'falling flat' until much later in the season.

I also don't KNOW any more than you do if Wilkins would have done better, worse, or the same.

Why do they need to speak when they leave the club when we have you speaking for them on a daily basis?

I have an idea too but I don't think you'd like my suggestion.

Adams as manager - he hasn't been in charge all that long, he needs time, something the fans afforded him last time around, but now demand instant success this time.

Yes, he has made a few mistakes, but he did last time too and looked what happened, the only real difference this time is the level of expectation from the fans, and it is about time that the fans realise that success doesn't happen over night, and a new manager with new ideas needs some time to get his team playing the way he wants them too.

Also, i still don't get why some fans expect us to be a championship side, we have done exceptionally well when we returned to Brighton, we have over achievedsince we returned in terms of titles, and promotions, but there are now some that expect more of the same rather than hope that we have more success rather than demand it.

So why comment other than to have another dig?[/QUOTE

Why did you have to pipe up - i was discussing something with knotty - i wasn't slagging anyone off - so you can come down off your high horse

Sorry-I didn't realise this was a private forum for you and knotty.

My point was that if you didn't go how can you possibly have a valid opinion? Secondly, you never miss an opportunity to have a snipe at the club and it's always the same shit.
