Who will light the torch tonight inside the stadium?

I see the bookies have made Steve Redgrave the favourite to light the official flame inside the stadium tonight. Would be dreadfully dull

My money's on some sort of double act involving a local kid and The Beckham...??

Hard to see past Bannister or Redgrave.

Tanni GT would be good but would look a bit 'token'.

Beckham would look trivial.

In a way, it'd be great if it were a local kid, but I wouldn't put money on that.

Anyway, nothing could top Ali at Atlanta, could it?

On a more serious note I liked the idea of Mathew Pinsent. Let the first baby who was born after the announcement that we had won light it.
